Abstract
Read abstract
Abstract In this paper, a critical analysis of the relationship between curriculum innovation and instructional technology in contemporary education has been scholarly discussed. It describes the theoretical background of their conceptualization and establishes the flow of their development over time, and reveals the theoretical backgrounds that support their integrations. Through theoretical reviews, the research outlines good implementation practices, evaluates their far-reaching implications on student learning performance and teaching practices, as well as the forthcoming projections. It therefore demonstrates that curriculum innovation and instructional technology are not mutually reinforcing, but synergistically intertwined and thus form an inseparable partnership to produce 21st century learners who will survive the fast-changing world.
