The area of education is proving to be quite dynamic nowadays due to great advances in digital technology, artificial intelligence, online education, legal databases and the interdisciplinary studies. There has been a shift from traditional ways of obtaining, accumulating and employing the legal knowledge because the field of law is innovative. Today's legal education is not limited to the classical ways learning and teaching in the classroom, textbooks, traditional analysis of cases or library work. Furthermore, modern lawyers must possess advanced technological skills, analytical abilities, interdisciplinary thinking and effective digital research skills. The purpose of this paper is to understand the role of innovation in education and its impact on the field of legal research. It analyzes new teaching methods such as blended learning, experiential learning, clinical legal education, problem-based learning, digital classrooms, and artificial intelligence in education. The paper also describes technological advancement in legal research by introducing such terms as electronic legal databases, legal analytics, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and online repositories. In addition, the paper identifies issues related to accuracy, integrity, data privacy, technology divide, algorithmic prejudices, and professional ethics. The main argument of the paper is that innovations may substitute the core values of the field of legal education, but must complement them instead, thereby relying on a balanced approach that may combine technology and human reasoning, ethics, thinking, and constitutional value that is essential for the future of legal education and research.
